The AustralAsian Certification in Anti-Ageing Medicine (ACAAM) run by A5M, is a modular program that provides you with the skills, resources and knowledge to incorporate the principles of preventative, integrative and anti-ageing medicine strategies and protocols into your practice or business.

The ACAAM is about transforming patient treatment and care from an illness (re-active) model to a wellness(pro-active model) to achieve better patient outcomes.

This program focuses on an internal health, healthy ageing and wellbeing approach driven by the Pillars of Ageing: Exercise, Diet & Nutrition, Lifestyle and Relaxation, Supplementation, Hormonal Balancing and Environmental and Genetic factors.

We provide you with the knowledge and skills to work with other preventative, integrative and anti-ageing healthcare practitioners in your community.

Module 1  Anti-Ageing Medicine and its impact on Longevity and the Ageing Process

This 2 day face to face Module introduces preventative, integrative and anti-ageing medicine as a clinical specialty focusing on advanced evidence based practices for early detection, prevention and treatment of age related dysfunction, disorders and chronic diseases. You will understand the integration of theories of ageing and the processes behind ageing including inflammation, depletion and wear & tear. You will review the role of hormones in the body; how our biochemistry, organ function, chronic disease and lifestyle factors accelerate the ageing process; and you will explore the role combining nutritional therapy, exercise and lifestyle changes, diet, supplementation, hormonal testing, and genetics has in developing treatment protocols. 

Module 2  The impact of Nutrition and Detoxification on the Ageing Process

Nutrition and detoxification are the key focus of module 2. This 2 day face to face module focuses on the role of nutrition and detoxification to maintain optimal outcomes and slow down the ageing process. You will review the effects of nutritional deficiencies and detoxification on the ageing process and learn the detoxification pathways, and identify the effects of drug induced nutrient depletion and how to overcome them. 


Module 3  Metabolic Disorders and the Ageing Process

This Module (2 day, face to face) examines the four major metabolic disorders contributing to the acceleration of the ageing process, discuss the processes of insulin resistance and define specific treatment protocols. You will review the pathways leading to obesity and discuss the latest weight loss treatment protocols; risk factors for heart disease, and how common cardiovascular disorders accelerate the ageing process. 


Course Requirements

  • Completion of 3 core modules and 3 electives (may be completed in any order, must be completed within 2 years from commencement of 1st module) Satisfactory pass of the assessment at the completion of each core module. 
  • Have no significant disciplinary actions in the preceding 24 months of application to complete & attain ACAAM qualification
  • Maintaining current A5M Membership is a requirement for all participating in the ACAAM
    New members 1 year membership is $385 and $300 for renewal
    New members 2 year membership is $585 and $500 for renewal
  • Attendance at a minimum of 1 A5M Conference during ACAAM course studies  


After these requirements are fulfilled, you will become an A5M Accredited Specialist in Anti-Ageing Medicine and will also be included on the A5M Practitioner Directory.

Upon completion of the certification maintain your qualification by holding current A5M Membership and attend a minimum of 1 A5M Conference OR Workshop per annum (excluding the Certification Modules)
